Citant.ai Terms of Service
Citant.ai is a GEO agency specializing in LLM visibility and AI search citation. These Terms of Service set the rules for using the Citant.ai website, the free AI Crawler Access Report, and paid engagements. Citant.ai is operated by Hamza Wamiq, a sole proprietor based in Islamabad, Pakistan, trading as Citant.ai. In these Terms, “Citant.ai,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Hamza Wamiq trading as Citant.ai.
These Terms have two parts, and each part applies to a different group:
- Part A, Website and Tool Terms, applies to everyone who visits citant.ai or runs the AI Crawler Access Report, including at check.citant.ai. Part A creates no paid engagement and no guarantee.
- Part B, Client Service Terms, applies only to businesses that accept a Sign-Off for a paid engagement: the AI Search Audit, the GEO Pilot, or the GEO Retainer.
A Client that uses the website is also bound by Part A for that use. Personal information is handled under the Citant.ai Privacy Policy.

Part A: Website and Tool Terms
A1. Acceptance and eligibility
A person who accesses citant.ai or runs the AI Crawler Access Report (a “User”) accepts Part A. A User acting for a business confirms that the User has authority to accept Part A on that business’s behalf. The website and the AI Crawler Access Report are intended for business and professional use by people aged 18 or over. A person who does not accept Part A must stop using the website and the Report.
A2. Permitted use of the website
Users may read citant.ai content, share links to it, and quote short passages from it for research, commentary, and internal business purposes, provided each quotation is accurate and attributed to Citant.ai with a link to the source page. Any other copying, republication, framing, or commercial redistribution of website content requires our prior written permission.
A3. The AI Crawler Access Report
The AI Crawler Access Report is a free diagnostic that checks whether AI crawlers and search crawlers can reach a website. No signup is needed to see the score. The scan runs at check.citant.ai and is explained on the AI Crawler Access Report page. The free scan checks whether AI systems can reach the site. The $440 AI Search Audit measures whether they name the brand.
What a scan requests. A scan runs only when a User submits a domain. For that domain, the Report requests the robots.txt file, the XML sitemap, the llms.txt and llms-full.txt files, the homepage plus up to 5 additional pages taken from the sitemap or specified by the User, and a small sample of sitemap URLs for a status check only. All requests are read-only. Diagnostic requests are sent with the user agent strings of the AI crawlers being tested, because that is the test: it shows whether a server treats those crawlers differently from its stated robots.txt policy. Every other request identifies as CitantScanBot.
Site owners. A site owner can stop scans of its site by disallowing CitantScanBot in its robots.txt file, and a scan of that site will then report the block and stop. A site owner can ask us to remove a public result page for its domain by email to info@citant.ai, and we will remove it once the request comes from an address at that domain or is backed by other reasonable proof of control.
Acceptable use of the Report. A User may run the Report on any publicly accessible domain, including a competitor’s domain. A User must not:
- specify pages that require a login or that the User is not entitled to access;
- submit domains in bulk or through automated scripts;
- attempt to bypass rate limits or other technical controls on the Report;
- use the Report to disrupt, overload, or probe the security of any website; or
- present Report results as Citant.ai’s opinion of a third party, or use results to misrepresent a third party.
Nature of the results. Report results are generated automatically at the moment of the scan and reflect only what the requested resources returned. Results can change whenever a website, its hosting, its CDN or firewall, or a crawler operator changes. The Report is not an audit, is not professional advice, and does not predict whether any AI platform will name a brand. Users act on results at their own discretion.
Private and public results. A scan result is private by default and is reachable only through an unguessable link for a limited period. A result becomes a public page for the scanned domain only when the User who ran the scan chooses an action that says so on its face, such as sharing the result, unlocking the full report, or opening the print report. A User who makes a result public confirms that the result is shared as an automated, point-in-time technical finding. We may remove any public result page at any time. We may use scan results in aggregated form that does not identify any domain or User. How we collect, use, and retain information submitted through the Report is described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability. We provide the Report free of charge and may change, limit, or withdraw the Report, or decline a scan, at any time.
A4. Intellectual property
We own or license the content on citant.ai, including text, graphics, page designs, research, the AI Crawler Access Report and its scoring model, and the 4-Layer Citation Framework and its published materials. The Citant.ai name and logo are our marks. Part A grants no license to use our content or marks beyond the permission in Section A2. Users may refer to the 4-Layer Citation Framework by name when discussing or citing our published work, with attribution to Citant.ai.
A5. Acceptable use of the website
Users must not:
- use the website in breach of any applicable law;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its servers, or connected systems;
- introduce malware, or run automated vulnerability scans against the website;
- scrape the website at a volume or rate that degrades its performance; or
- submit false information through website forms, or submit another person’s personal information without authority.
Crawling by search engine crawlers and AI crawlers that respect our robots.txt file is permitted.
A6. Third-party websites and AI platforms
The website links to and discusses third-party websites, tools, and AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, Google Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Google AI Overviews. Third parties operate those services, and their own terms and privacy policies govern their use. A link or a mention is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or outputs.
A7. Website content is general information
We write website content to be accurate on the date it was published or last reviewed. AI search behavior, platform features, and published research change frequently, so website content is general information rather than advice for any specific website, and it may be out of date when read. Prices, scope, and commitments described on the website become binding only when recorded in a Sign-Off accepted under Part B.
A8. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and the AI Crawler Access Report are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website or the Report will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
A9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable under Part A for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of revenue, profit, business, opportunity, data, or goodwill, arising from use of the website or the Report. Our total liability under Part A is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud and any right a User has under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
A10. Governing law and disputes
Part A is governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts at Islamabad have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from Part A. This section does not remove any right a User has to bring proceedings elsewhere where that right cannot be excluded by law.
A11. Changes to Part A
We may update Part A by publishing a new version on this page with a new version number and effective date. An update applies to use of the website and the Report after its effective date and does not apply to earlier use. Previous versions are available on request by email to info@citant.ai.
A12. Contact
Questions about Part A can be sent to info@citant.ai or through the Citant.ai contact form.
Part B: Client Service Terms
B1. Parties and application
Part B is an agreement between Hamza Wamiq, a sole proprietor trading as Citant.ai (“Citant.ai,” “we,” “us,” “our”), and the business named in a Sign-Off (“Client”). Part B applies to every paid Engagement and forms part of each Sign-Off. A Sign-Off incorporates the Part B version it names, or, if it names none, the version published on this page on the date Client accepts the Sign-Off. Part B applies to businesses only. Client confirms that it enters every Engagement for business purposes and that the person accepting the Sign-Off has authority to bind Client.
B2. Definitions
- Sign-Off: the engagement document, or the online order form confirmed by us in writing, that Client accepts for an Engagement and that records the Engagement type, scope, fees, payment dates, and, for a GEO Pilot, the agreed target queries.
- Engagement: the paid work described in a Sign-Off, being an AI Search Audit, a GEO Pilot, or a GEO Retainer.
- Kickoff: the later of (a) cleared payment and (b) our receipt of Client’s intake form plus the access the Sign-Off requires. For a GEO Pilot, cleared payment means cleared payment of the first Pilot payment. Kickoff starts the 72-hour delivery clock for the AI Search Audit and the 9-week term of the GEO Pilot.
- Deliverables: the reports, scorecards, content, recommendations, and other materials we create specifically for Client and deliver under an Engagement.
- Citant.ai Materials: our methods, frameworks including the 4-Layer Citation Framework, templates, checklists, prompts, scripts, software, tools, and know-how, whether they exist before an Engagement or are developed for general use during one, including improvements to them.
- Client Materials: content, data, brand assets, credentials, and other materials Client provides.
- Confidential Information: non-public information one party discloses to the other in connection with an Engagement that is marked confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential, including the terms of a Sign-Off.
- Tracked Platforms: ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, Google Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Google AI Overviews.
- Guarantee Page: the GEO Pilot guarantee page, in the form in effect on the date Client accepts the Sign-Off.
B3. Order of precedence
If documents conflict, they apply in this order: (1) the Sign-Off, (2) Part B, (3) any other page on citant.ai. For the GEO Pilot guarantee, the Sign-Off and the Guarantee Page apply together, and where they differ, the reading more favorable to Client applies. Nothing in Part B varies, restates, or narrows the guarantee. Terms in Client’s purchase orders or vendor documents do not apply, even if referenced.
B4. Services
Citant.ai provides Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) services, and the scope of each Engagement is set out in its Sign-Off:
- The AI Search Audit is a one-time diagnostic Engagement, delivered within 72 hours of Kickoff.
- The GEO Pilot is a fixed-scope, 9-week Engagement with a fixed total fee, scoped from a completed AI Search Audit.
- The GEO Retainer is an optional, ongoing Engagement that begins only after a completed GEO Pilot, on the minimum term and notice period stated on the Citant.ai pricing page and in the Sign-Off.
No Engagement includes paid press placements or sponsored media coverage, guaranteed creation of a Wikipedia article, fake or incentivized reviews, undisclosed paid endorsements, or any activity that breaches a platform’s terms of service, and we may decline any request that would require them. Work outside the Sign-Off is out of scope and is added only by a written change to the Sign-Off accepted by both parties. We decide how the work is performed, consistent with the Sign-Off.
B5. Client responsibilities
Client will:
- provide the access, information, and approvals the Sign-Off requires, which may include access to Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, analytics, and the content management system, and respond to reasonable requests without undue delay;
- ensure that Client owns or has permission to use Client Materials, and has authority to let us access the accounts, websites, and listings Client asks us to work on;
- review and approve content before publication where the Sign-Off requires approval, and remain responsible for content Client publishes;
- keep current backups of its websites and systems before we make changes;
- comply with the terms of the platforms and services Client uses; and
- tell us promptly about changes that could affect the Engagement, such as a site migration, a domain change, or a change to crawler access rules.
B6. Timelines and delays
We will meet the timelines in the Sign-Off. We are not in breach of a timeline to the extent a delay is caused by Client, including late access, information, approvals, or payment. The 9-week term of the GEO Pilot, and any date that affects the guarantee, changes only by written agreement of both parties recorded in the Sign-Off, or as the Guarantee Page provides.
B7. Fees and payment
Fees, payment amounts, and payment dates for each Engagement are stated in the Sign-Off and on the pricing page. No onboarding fee applies to any Engagement. All fees are in US dollars and are paid through the payment method stated in the Sign-Off or on the invoice. GEO Pilot payment dates are measured from Kickoff.
The AI Search Audit fee is non-refundable as a standalone deliverable, and the delivered audit is Client’s to keep. If we fail to deliver the AI Search Audit at all, we refund the audit fee in full. Any credit of that fee against a GEO Pilot applies only as stated on the pricing page and in the Sign-Off.
Fees exclude taxes, duties, and bank or transfer charges imposed in Client’s jurisdiction, and Client is responsible for them. If law requires Client to withhold tax from a payment, Client will increase the payment so that we receive the amount we would have received without the withholding.
Client will raise any good-faith dispute about an invoice in writing before its due date and will pay any undisputed part on time. If an amount remains unpaid 14 days after its due date and we have given Client written notice, we may suspend work until payment is received. Suspension is not termination, and the effect of a suspension on the GEO Pilot guarantee is governed by the Guarantee Page.
B8. The GEO Pilot guarantee
The GEO Pilot carries a performance guarantee. The qualifying bar, the review protocol, the refund, and the refund timing are set out on the Guarantee Page and recorded in the Sign-Off, and Part B does not restate or vary them. The guarantee attaches to the GEO Pilot only. The AI Search Audit and the GEO Retainer carry no guarantee, and any other commitment in a Sign-Off is a commitment to perform work, for which the remedy is further work rather than a refund, without limiting Section B9. A refund under the guarantee is Client’s sole remedy for citation results that do not meet the guaranteed bar. Sections B18 and B20 do not reduce, suspend, or void the guarantee.
B9. Term and termination
Term. Each Engagement starts when both parties accept the Sign-Off and ends when its scope is complete or when it is terminated under this section.
GEO Retainer. The GEO Retainer continues after its minimum term until either party ends it by giving the notice period stated in the Sign-Off.
Early ending by Client. Client may stop a GEO Pilot early by written notice. The GEO Pilot fee is a fixed total, so its remaining payments stay payable on their dates, and a GEO Pilot stopped early by Client does not reach the week-9 review, so no guarantee assessment takes place. Client may end a GEO Retainer during its minimum term by written notice, in which case the fees for the rest of the minimum term stay payable.
Termination for breach or insolvency. Either party may terminate an Engagement by written notice if the other party materially breaches Part B or the Sign-Off and does not remedy the breach within 14 days after written notice describing it. Either party may also terminate an Engagement by written notice if the other party becomes insolvent or ceases to carry on business. If Client terminates for our unremedied material breach, we refund the part of any payment that covers the period after termination, calculated in proportion to the days of that period remaining.
Termination for Client’s breach. If we terminate a GEO Pilot or a GEO Retainer for Client’s unremedied material breach, including non-payment, the remaining GEO Pilot payments, or the fees for the rest of the GEO Retainer minimum term, stay payable on their dates, and a GEO Pilot terminated this way does not reach the week-9 review.
Effect of termination. On termination, payments that fell due before termination remain payable, each party returns or deletes the other party’s Confidential Information on request, subject to legal retention obligations, and we complete the handover described in Section B11.
B10. Intellectual property
Deliverables. Client owns each Deliverable once Client has paid every payment that fell due under the Engagement up to the date of that Deliverable. Client keeps the Deliverables, and all work implemented on its websites and listings, even if GEO Pilot payments are later refunded under the guarantee.
Citant.ai Materials. We keep all rights in Citant.ai Materials. To the extent Citant.ai Materials are incorporated in Deliverables, we grant Client a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them as part of those Deliverables for Client’s own business. Client may not resell, publish, or distribute Citant.ai Materials separately from the Deliverables, or use them to provide GEO services to others.
Client Materials. Client keeps all rights in Client Materials and grants us a non-exclusive license to use Client Materials only to perform the Engagement.
Open public data. Some work creates or edits public entries, such as Wikidata items, that are published under open licenses and cannot be owned by either party.
B11. Accounts, credentials, and handover
Accounts, profiles, and listings created during an Engagement, including search console, webmaster, directory, and knowledge base accounts, are registered to Client or to an email address Client controls wherever the platform allows. We use Client credentials only for the Engagement, store them securely, and request the least access the work requires where the platform allows. Client may revoke our access at any time, and revocation may affect timelines under Section B6. When an Engagement ends, we transfer to Client any account ownership that sits with us, remove our access where Client asks, and list the accesses Client should revoke.
B12. Confidentiality
Each party will use the other party’s Confidential Information only for the Engagement, will protect it with at least reasonable care, and will disclose it only to personnel and subcontractors who need it for the Engagement and are bound by confidentiality obligations at least as protective as this section. Confidential Information does not include information that is or becomes public through no fault of the receiving party, was lawfully known to the receiving party before disclosure, is independently developed, or is lawfully received from a third party without restriction. A party may disclose Confidential Information where law or a court requires it, after giving the other party notice where lawful. These obligations continue for as long as the information remains confidential.
B13. Data protection and service providers
Where we process personal data on Client’s behalf during an Engagement, such as personal data held in Client’s analytics or form accounts, we act only on Client’s documented instructions, keep that data confidential, apply appropriate technical and organizational security measures, and notify Client without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting that data. Client is responsible for having a lawful basis to share that data with us. We are based in Pakistan and our service providers operate in other countries, so personal data may be processed outside Client’s country. A data processing agreement, including international transfer terms where the law requires them, is available on request.
We deliver Engagements using third-party service providers, including hosting, email, document, form, payment, and analytics providers, an independent third-party citation tracking platform, and AI models. Section B12 applies to that use, and we do not submit Client Confidential Information to any AI tool configured to use submitted data for model training.
B14. Our GEO execution team and subcontractors
We perform Engagements with our GEO execution team, which may include subcontractors. We remain responsible for work performed by our specialists and subcontractors as if we had performed it ourselves, and each of them is bound by confidentiality obligations consistent with Section B12.
B15. Publicity and case studies
We will not use Client’s name, logo, trademarks, results, or Deliverables in marketing, case studies, or other public materials without Client’s prior written consent. Consent may be limited in scope and may be withdrawn for future use by written notice, without affecting materials published before the withdrawal. We may use measurements from Engagements in aggregated, de-identified form that does not identify Client, its brand, or its target queries, and Section B12 does not restrict that aggregated use.
B16. Platform dependency and results
Third parties that we do not control operate the Tracked Platforms and the search indexes and crawlers those platforms rely on. Those operators change their models, retrieval sources, interfaces, and policies without notice, and AI answers vary between sessions, accounts, locations, and product modes. Except for the GEO Pilot guarantee, we do not promise any particular citation, mention, ranking, traffic, lead, or revenue outcome, and any forecast or example in a Deliverable is an estimate rather than a commitment.
B17. Warranties and non-excludable rights
We will perform each Engagement with reasonable skill and care, consistent with the Sign-Off. Each party confirms that it has authority to enter into the Engagement. Except as stated in Part B and the Sign-Off, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, all other warranties and conditions, express or implied, are excluded.
Nothing in Part B excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, including any statutory guarantee, that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. Where the law allows our liability for breach of such a right to be limited, that liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
B18. Limitation of liability
Neither party is liable to the other for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of revenue, profit, pipeline, business, opportunity, data, or goodwill, however arising, even if the loss was foreseeable.
Each party’s total liability arising out of or in connection with an Engagement is limited to the total fees paid and payable by Client under that Engagement. Refunds under the GEO Pilot guarantee are paid in full regardless of this limit, and any refund paid reduces the limit available for other claims about the same GEO Pilot. The limits in this section do not apply to Client’s obligation to pay fees, to liability for fraud or willful misconduct, or to any liability that cannot be limited by law.
B19. Indemnities
Client will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Client Materials, from content Client publishes or approves, or from Client’s lack of authority to grant access to the accounts, websites, or listings Client asks us to work on.
We will defend and indemnify Client against third-party claims that Deliverables, excluding Client Materials and content Client has changed, infringe the third party’s intellectual property rights.
The indemnified party must notify the indemnifying party promptly, allow the indemnifying party to control the defense and any settlement, and cooperate reasonably. Indemnities under this section are subject to Section B18.
B20. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform, other than an obligation to pay, caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, failures of internet, power, or telecommunications services, and outages of third-party platforms. The affected party will notify the other party and resume performance as soon as practicable. This section does not reduce, suspend, extend, or void the GEO Pilot guarantee.
B21. Notices
Notices under Part B must be in writing and sent by email. Notices to us go to info@citant.ai, and notices to Client go to the email address in the Sign-Off. A notice is treated as received on the next business day, where the recipient is located, after sending, unless the sender receives an automated delivery failure message.
B22. Governing law and dispute resolution
Part B and every Engagement are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussion for 30 days after written notice of the dispute. A dispute not resolved within that period will be finally resolved by arbitration before a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration Act 1940 of Pakistan, seated in Islamabad and conducted in English, with hearings held by video conference unless the arbitrator directs otherwise. Either party may seek urgent injunctive relief from any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this section removes a right Client has that cannot be excluded by law.
B23. General
Entire agreement. The Sign-Off and Part B form the entire agreement for an Engagement and replace earlier proposals and discussions about it. This section does not limit liability for fraud.
Changes. A Sign-Off, and the version of Part B it incorporates, can be changed only in writing accepted by both parties. Publishing a new version of Part B does not change any Sign-Off already accepted.
Assignment. Neither party may assign an Engagement without the other party’s written consent, except that we may assign our Engagements to a company formed to carry on the Citant.ai business, on written notice to Client, where that company takes on all our obligations.
Independent contractors. The parties are independent contractors, and nothing in Part B creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship.
Severability and waiver. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of Part B remains in effect. A failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
Survival. Sections B7, B9, B10, B11, B12, B13, B15, B16, B17, B18, B19, B22, and B23 survive the end of an Engagement.
Electronic acceptance. A Sign-Off may be accepted by electronic signature or by written acceptance by email, and either method has the same effect as a signed original.
Language. Part B is written in English, and the English version controls.
B24. Versions and contact
Part B version 1.0 takes effect on 16 September 2026. Each Sign-Off incorporates the Part B version identified under Section B1, and previous versions of Part B are available on request by email to info@citant.ai. Questions about Part B can be sent to info@citant.ai.
